Currently. the Chief Justice and associate justices are all appointed by the President, and This amendment would allow associate justices to elect from within themselves the head of the Jud icial Branch of the Student Government Association, and WHEREAS: This change fulfi lls the democratic principle of independent and equal branches of government. THEREFORE: Be it affirmed, that we the members or the Student Government Association of Western Ken tucky University, do hereby amend Section 4.3.3 of the Constitution to allow for the eleclion of the Chief Justice wilhin Judicial Council.
