Excused were Oram, Prongua and Prosperi. Unexcused was Cederberg.There were no minutes to approve.Public Comment - None President's Reporta. Venetz read a statement from President Cederberg stating his support for SB37. The Students First! materials were distributed to the Senators for posting around campus.Vice President's Reporta. Senate approved the following committee removals: Elections - Jessica Prongua, Bryce Bennett; Relations and Affairs - Solveig Listerud; ASCRC - Kari Samuel. Senate approved the following committee appointments: Elections - Brent Epperson, Ashley Sparano; UC Board - Allie Harrison; Relations and Affairs - William Selph; ASCRC - Jed Cox, Casey Hogue.b. Duncan will represent ASUM on KBGA Thursday morning.The Chair recognized the presence of Senator Epperson, who wasinadvertently overlooked during roll call.c. A sign-up sheet was circulated for Senators interested in serving on a panel for Admissions and New Student Services.d. They discussed the Glacier Park busses contract.f. Registrar Search (Helling) - There will be an open forum with a candidate from 11-12 tomorrow in UC330.g. SB33-05/06 Resolution for Partnership to Promote Tolerance and Prevent Violence condemning Violcnec (Exhibit A) was moved by Cox to be approved with unanimous consent, which met with objection. A motion by Knobloch-Cox to move the fourth whereas so as to be the first "Therefore" clause to read: "Therefore, Let It Be Resolved that Whereas, ASUM condemns these attacks;" passed. A motion by Hogue-Pavlish to delete "and proactive" in the second "Therefore" clause passed with unanimous consent on a motion by Cox. The main motion as amended passed with unanimous consent on a motion by Cox.c. SB37-05/06 Resolution of the Associated Students of The University of Montana (ASUM) to Oppose the Stop Overspending Constitutional Initiative(Cl- 97) (Exhibit B) . A motion by Knobloch-Nalty to insert as the first Awhereas "Whereas former Montana Board of Regents Chair John Mercer has ^stated that the State already underfunds its universities" failed after a previous question call by Cox.
