RESOLUIION #20 24 Hour Lobbies INTRODUCED : AarION : DATE : VOTE : 1/25/77 Passed 2/15/77 Acclamation Since there 1s no appropriate place that students can affiliate after 12 p.m . on weekdays and 2 a . m. on weekends and Because the Student Center closes at 11:30 every night , and Since there 1s no open visitation allowed for members of the opposite sex except on a very few appropriated days , and then only until , at the very latest , 12 p . m. , Therefore , be it resolved that Western Kentucky University shall appropriate means of leaving all dorm lobbies open to visitation 24 hours a day , thus allowing students a place to relax , watch t . v.. or play assorted games , under supervision outlined by the University . This would also provide protection from staying out in the elements . The guest shall be escorted after the doors are locked . Author: Brad Ford •
