For the University to repair the steps leading from the first floor of the Helm Cravens Library up to the Ivan Wilson Fine Arts Center, and extend the handrail to encompass the length of the stairs WHEREAS: With the steps in their present condition, it is very easy to slip. which may result in serious injury, and WHEREAS: The deterioration of the steps detracts from the beauty of our campus, and WHEREAS: These steps are very steep and need to be in perfect condition to guarantee safe usage, and WHEREAS : The installation of the handrail would help prevent the risk afsenous injury, and THEREFORE: Be it resolved that we the members of Student Government Association do hereby request that the University repair the steps leading from the first floor of the Helm Cravens Librari up to the 1"/an 'Nilsen Fine A.4:S Center, and to instaH a handrail on the lower section of the stairs AUTHOR.
