A pessoa com doença oncológica é frequentemente sujeita a cirurgia como forma de
diagnóstico da sua doença, de tratamento ou com um intuito paliativo. O contacto
prévio entre o enfermeiro do Bloco Operatório e a pessoa doente e família, tem como
objetivo conhecê-los, estabelecer uma relação de ajuda e explicar todos os momentos
que envolvem o período perioperatório.
Ao refletir e analisar sobre a prática de cuidados, foi sentida uma lacuna no
acompanhamento à pessoa que vai ser submetida a procedimento cirúrgico e família,
surgindo a necessidade de realizar um projeto de intervenção intitulado
“Acompanhamento de enfermagem à pessoa com doença oncológica e família no
período pré e intraoperatório.” Este projeto é realizado no âmbito do 10º Curso de
Mestrado na área de Especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, vertente
Enfermagem Oncológica perspetivando o desenvolvimento de competências de
enfermeira especialista e de Mestre e da European Oncology Nursing Society, com o
intuito de melhorar a qualidade dos cuidados de enfermagem prestados à pessoa com
doença oncológica e família no período pré e intraoperatório. A questão de partida
deste projeto é: “Quais as intervenções de enfermagem no acompanhamento à
pessoa com doença oncológica e família no período pré e intraoperatório?”
A metodologia utilizada foi a de trabalho de projeto, realizando-se um estágio em três
contextos distintos. Este documento é o seu relatório, onde se analisa e reflete
criticamente e com base na evidência científica o trajeto efetuado, abordando as
aprendizagens, assim como os resultados obtidos. Considero que neste percurso
desenvolvi as competências a que me propus, para tal, efetuou-se uma revisão
scoping, recorreu-se à observação da prática, à prestação de cuidados, à construção
de documentos de orientação e apoio à prática e ainda se utilizou a reflexão de
aprendizagens significativas com os orientadores dos locais de estágio e a reflexão
escrita individual sobre eventos significativos. Destaco a importância das intervenções
autónomas de enfermagem de acompanhamento à pessoa e à família no período pré
e intraoperatório, como uma influência positiva na vivência do período perioperatório.
Futuramente, perspetivo fazer a divulgação deste projeto em jornadas científicas, de
modo a contribuir para a melhoria das práticas no acompanhamento de enfermagem
efetuado no período pré e intraoperatório.The oncologic patient is often subjected to surgery as either a form of diagnose,
treatment or with a palliative purpose. The previous contact between the Operating
Room nurse and the patient and his family, aims to know them, establish a help
relationship and explain all the moments that involve the perioperative period.
When reflecting on and analyzing nursing practice, a gap in the follow-up of the person
undergoing surgery and their family, was identified and there was a need to establish
an intervention project entitled “Nursing Monitoring for the Person with Cancer and
Family in Pre and intraoperative period.“ This project is carried out in the scope of the
10th Master's Course in the area of Specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing,
Oncologic Nursing, with a view to the development of competencies of specialist nurse
and Master's and the European Oncology Nursing Society, with the aim of improving
the quality of nursing care provided for people with cancer and families in the pre- and
intraoperative stages. The starting point of this project is: "What are the nursing
interventions for monitoring the person with oncologic disease and family in the pre and intraoperative phase?"
The methodology used was project work, performing an internship in three different
contexts. This document is the report in which the path taken, the learning and the
results achieved are analyzed and critically reflected. I believe that in this journey I
developed the skills to which I proposed. For this, a scoping review was carried out,
the observation of the practice, the provision of care, the construction of guidance and
support documents to the practice was used and the reflection of the significant
learning with the supervisors of the internship locations and the individual written
reflection on significant events were also used.
I highlight the importance of autonomous nursing interventions for monitoring the
person and the family in the pre- and intraoperative phase as a positive influence on
the experience of the perioperative phase.
In the future, I intend to spread this project on scientific events, in order to contribute
to the improvement of nursing monitoring practices performed in the pre- and
intraoperative periods
