Abstract
Los “lugares” de lo preferible, contenidos en los primeros capítulos del libro III de los Tópicos, tienen unas peculiaridades que los distinguen muy netamente de los restantes “lugares” presentes en los libros centrales de esa obra. En este artículo hago una comparación de la estructura que tienen ambas clases de “lugares” y señalo cómo los de lo preferible no se ajustan a la teoría de la disputa expuesta en el libro I. Después, tras mostrar que los intentos de ajuste que hace Aristóteles para asimilar los de los preferible al resto son ineficaces, concluyo que este conjunto de “lugares”, mal engarzado con el conjunto de la obra, podría haberse introducido de manera más coherente.The topoi concerning the preferable, contained in the first chapters of Book III of Aristotle’s Topics, have some peculiarities that clearly distinguish them from the other topoi found in the central books of this work. In this article I compare the structure of both classes of topoi and I point out that those concerning what is preferable do not fit the theory of disputation set out in Book I. I show that the adjustments made by Aristotle are ineffective and I conclude that this set of topoi, which is badly linked with the rest of the work, could have been introduced in a more coherent manner
