The aim of this paper is to show the achievements and the limit of
Heidegger’s thought from the analysis of the two false steps. The
first false step shows us what the target of his philosophical criticism
is, whereas the second false step shows us the place of
Heidegger himself within the philosophical tradition, because, although
the first false step has been called into question, the second
one has been assumed by Heidegger himself
