D’Ors and Ortega carried out an anthropological-cultural and
historical-social transformation of the pragmatic notion of belief.
In doing so, both philosophers were expanding certain suggestions
of Unamuno and Ganivet, for confronting the antihumanist crisis
of European science originally denounced by phenomenology, but
in a distinctive way
