Migrant women in Colombia: Analysis of their human rights from the regional context, 2014-2018

Abstract

El fenómeno de la migración, como todo fenómeno en el que se pueden violar o poner en riesgo los derechos humanos, afecta a las mujeres de forma diferenciada. Es decir, afecta a las mujeres y a las niñas de maneras específicas por su condición de mujeres. El libro titulado La mujer migrante en Colombia: análisis de sus derechos humanos desde el contexto regional, 2014-2018, editado por las profesoras María Teresa Palacios Sanabria y María Lucía Torres Villarreal de la Facultad de Jurisprudencia, hace visible esta afectación diferenciada.The phenomenon of migration, like any phenomenon in which human rights can be violated or put at risk, affects women in a different way. In other words, it affects women and girls in specific ways because of their status as women.
