Simulation of Engine Combustion of Vikyno RV125-2 Using Dual Fuel CNG-Diesel with Fluent Software

Abstract

This paper presents the results of computational studies simulating combustion of engine Vikyno RV125-2 using CNG-diesel dual fuel with FLUENT 6.3 software. This simulation experience can be applied on all kinds of other diesel engines converted to dual-fuel CNG-diesel. The simulation results have shown the variation of the parameters of pressure, temperature, concentration of CH4, O2, CO during combustion. This result helps to orient the design and manufacturing control system to provide dual-fuel CNG-diesel in experimental models. This study also allows significant reduction in test complexity, reduces costs and saves trial time The results compared with experiments show that the agreement between simulation and experiment confirms the accuracy and scientific research
