The purpose of this paper is to examine how employees navigate in the unlimited work, and what significance it has to the work-life balance of employees. The study is based on critical theory, hereby on Hartmut Rosa's theory of social acceleration and deceleration as well as Rich-ard Sennett's theory of the flexible human. Furthermore, we have supported our framework with existing scientific articles. Our research strategy consists of qualitative research based on four semi-structured interviews. We find that our informants from the Team HR of Borgercent-er Handicap are integrated in the acceleration society. They navigate differently in the unlimited work and balance their work-life variously. We conclude that our informants from the HR Team are subject to requirements as a result of the unlimited work, which has an impact on their work-life balance. Moreover, we conclude that our informants have different opinions on whose responsibility it is to ensure the individual's work-life balance. Based on critical theory we conclude that it is society's responsibility to ensure a work-life balance.<br/
