Basic principles in design of large container cranes, Part II: Historical development in design, evolution of container cranes industry and procurement strategy

Abstract

U radu je dam kratak pregled istorijskog nastanka i projektnih ideja koje su uticale na postavku i formiranje konstrukcije kontejnerskih dizalica počevši od prve koja je puštena u eksploataciju 1959. godine. Navedeni su osnovni pravci razvoja obalskih kontejnerskih dizalica konvencionalne konstrukcije od nastanka do današnjih dana. Opisana je evolucija industrije kontejnerskih dizalica i filozofija proizvođača, počevši od prvobitne off-the-shelf strategije do potonjeg tailor-made pristupa, odnosno hibridne strategije koja u sebi obuhvata najbolje elemente pobrojanih pristupa proizvodnje. Takođe, pad analizira i strategiju nabavke kontejnerskih dizalica, odnosno interakciju na relaciji kupac-proizvođač, vezano za aktuelne trendove globalizacije svetske industrije.The paper gives a short review of historical development and ideas in design that affected the postulate and construction shaping of container cranes starting from the first one put into operation in 1959. The basic directions in development of conventional quay container cranes from the beginning up to nowadays are stated. The evolution of container cranes industry and manufacturers philosophy that started from the off-the-shelf approach and evolutes to the tailor-made strategy, i.e. hybrid approach comprising the best elements of mentioned strategies, is describes. Also, the paper discusses procurement strategies, i.e. interaction in relationship buyer manufacturer, from the aspect of trends in globalization of world industry
