Abstract

El Vinalopó, comarca alejada de frentes bélicos, poco castigada por los bombardeos, típica de retaguardia, desempeñó un notable protagonismo político -última residencia gubernamental republicana-; económico, atrayendo una potente industria armamentística; y, de acogida, con decenas de colonias y hospitales. Hoy, aquellos lugares de la guerra constituyen un rico patrimonio cultural necesitado de protección y divulgación.The Vinalopó, whose districts were far from war fronts, little burdened by the typical bombing rearguard, played a significant political role -it had the last republican governmental residence-, economic, since it attracted a powerful armament industry and social because it was an important center of host with dozens of colonies and hospitals. Nowadays, those places of war constitute a rich cultural heritage that needs protection and disclosure
