Estilo libre. Una aproximación al cine de Hong Sang-soo: Free style. An approach to hong sang-soo’s cinematography

Abstract

El presente artículo pretende un acercamiento al estilo fílmico del cineasta Hong Sang-soo. El director surcoreano, nacido en Seúl en 1961 y con más de veinte películas en su trayectoria, ha llamado la atención desde sus inicios por su particular estilo y universo cinematográfico. Encuadrado dentro del nuevo cine coreano, Hong Sang-soo ha acumulado desde sus primeras obras prestigiosos galardones internacionales. A través del análisis de alguno de sus rasgos más característicos se pretende dilucidar cuáles son los principales elementos que definen su trabajo y hacen que este pueda ser diferenciado del de otros autores contemporáneos.This article intends an approach to the film style of the filmmaker Hong Sang-soo. The South Korean director, born in Seoul in 1961 and with more than twenty films in his career, has attracted attention since his beginnings for his particular style and cinematographic universe. Framed within the new Korean cinema, Hong Sang-soo has accumulated prestigious international awards since he made his firsts films. Through the analysis of some of its most characteristic features, we’ll intended to elucidate which are the main elements that define his work and make it different from that of other contemporary authors
