(česky) Instituce Chevra kadiša de-gomlej chasadim, též známá jako Israelské pohřební bratrstvo, provázela židovskou komunitu v Roudnici nad Labem po více než dvě stě padesát let. Své služby však neposkytovala pouze zemřelým, jak by mohlo nesprávně implikovat označení pohřební bratrstvo, nýbrž aktivně participovala na péči o nemocné, umírající a svými četnými charitativními a filantropickými aktivitami se rovněž podílela na pomoci potřebným. Tato práce si klade za cíl přiblížit na příkladu Roudnice nad Labem problematiku Chevry kadiši a seznámit čtenáře nejen s počátky spolku a jeho organizací, ale také s členskou základnou a jejími proměnami v průběhu dlouhého devatenáctého století. Studie dále zpracovává vybrané aspekty instituce Chevra kadiša, jako byla např. její specifická, nezaměnitelné role v rámci židovské obce.(anglicky) The institution of Chevra Kadisha de-gomlei chasadim, also known as Israeli burial fraternity, had accompanied the Jewish Community of Roudnice nad Labem for more than two hundred and fifty years. However, it provided its services not only to the dead, as could be incorrectly implied by the name of the burial fraternity, but also actively participated in the sick care, care for the dying and through its numerous charitable and philanthropic activities also participated in helping the needy. This work aims to approximate the problematics of Chevra Kadisha on the example of Roudnice nad Labem and to to acquaint the reader not only with the origins of the society and its organization, but also with the membership base and its changes during the long nineteenth century.
