On (m-P) and (J-P) type relations for close binaries

Abstract

In this study we develop relations connecting the rate of orbital period variations P of binary stars with the significant parameters of their evolution, under non-conservative conditions in a fundamental level of description. In this framework, a new generalized. J - P-type relation is derived, that can be used in estimation of parameters connected with basic evolutionary processes, when P is known from O - C time-series analysis
