It is about the importance of Traditional Communities for the protection of the environment and the historical-cultural heritage. The constitutional recognition of culture (material or immaterial) is presented, whose aim is to protect the Traditional Communities, which in turn, provided environmental protection. The reproduction of peoples' traditions protects ecosystems and biomes, due to the way they relate to the environment. Thus, the idea that those who make up Traditional Communities hinder economic development is replaced by its importance in promoting sustainable development. These communities are more vulnerable to environmental risks and impacts due to the lack of effectiveness of Public Policies in order to reduce social exclusion and boost development. There is also the Traditional Territory, which is an instrument of connection between Communities and the world, as it is a fundamental part for the reproduction of immaterial culture. The importance of intangible cultural heritage for the recognition of cultural diversity is reaffirmed. Trata-se da importância das Comunidades Tradicionais para a tutela do meio ambiente e do patrimônio histórico-cultural. Apresenta-se o reconhecimento constitucional da cultura (material ou imaterial), que teve por fim, proteger as Comunidades Tradicionais, que por sua vez, propiciou a proteção ambiental. A reprodução das tradições dos povos protegem os ecossistemas e biomas, em razão da forma como se relacionam com o meio ambiente. Assim, a ideia de que aqueles com compõem as Comunidades Tradicionais obstam o desenvolvimento econômico é substituída pela sua importância na promoção do desenvolvimento sustentável. Estas comunidades são mais vulneráveis aos riscos e impactos ambientais pela falta efetividade de Políticas Públicas com o fim de reduzir a exclusão social e impulsionar o desenvolvimento. Tem-se também, o Território Tradicional que é instrumento de conexão das Comunidades com o mundo, por ser peça fundamental para a reprodução da cultura imaterial.
