Abstract
O envelhecimento faz parte de um processo natural do organismo. Em muitos países, o grupo que cresce mais rapidamente é o de idade mais avançada, refletindo o resultado de novas terapias, estratégias preventivas e programas de controle de natalidade. Nesta etapa da vida, é comum surgirem algumas limitações físicas e, isto pode influenciar no aspecto psicológico alterando a rotina de alguns pacientes e seus familiares. O propósito deste trabalho foi apresentar mudanças ocorridas na terceira idade, através de uma revisão de literatura, correlacionando-as ao tratamento odontológico. ____________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe aging is part of natural process in organism. In many countries, the group of age more advanced is the group what more quickly increases; it reflects the result of news therapy, programs of natality control and preventives strategy. In that stage from the life frequently appear some physical limitations and it can to perturb the routine of some patients and of theirs relative. The purpose from this paper was to show changes occurr ed in seniors, through of a literature revision in correlation to the dental treatment
