There are two options for protecting your child against measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella.Thanks to vaccines that protect against measles, mumps, rubella (German measles) and varicella (chickenpox), most children never have to suffer the misery of these diseases or their potentially serious complications.For the best protection against measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella, children need to be vaccinated twice: once when they are 12\u201315 months old, and again when they are 4\u20136 years old.
