Creating and using a faculty interests database.

Abstract

Academic librarians routinely assist faculty seeking information on diverse topics. Librarians may overlook potentially useful information, however, if they are unaware of faculty interests that are not mentioned in a specific request. At the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Medical Library, a team of librarians developed a faculty interests database to improve reference services and collection development.
