Este trabalho objetiva delinear certas disputas políticas e de sentido que emergem dos acionamentos sobre a in/visibilidade transgênero em comunidades de temática trans no Reddit. Confrontamos uma revisão teórica dos transgender studies a uma etnografia digital realizada nas comunidades de pessoas trans na plataforma de fóruns Reddit, ressaltando seus pontos de encontro e de divergência, e utilizando como eixo analítico as instabilidades do dispositivo de “passar” por cisgênero. Por fim, demonstramos que o projeto identitário dos trans studies sofre resistência nas comunidades do Reddit, que mobilizam a subjetividade em múltiplos significados para efetuar a construção da cisgeneridade nos corpos trans.This paper aims to delineate certain political and meaning disputes that emerge from the uses of transgender in/visibility in trans-themed communities on Reddit. We confront a theoretical review of transgender studies to a digital ethnography carried out in the communities of trans people on the forum platform Reddit, highlighting their points of encounter and divergence, and using as analytical axis the instabilities of the device of “passing” as cisgender. Finally, we demonstrate that the identity project of trans studies suffers resistance in Reddit communities, which mobilize the subjectivity in multiple meanings to effect the construction of cisgenerity in trans bodies
