Assessment of profitability of adaptation of a residential building to the standard of a passive building

Abstract

W artykule omówiono problem związany z opłacalnością dostosowania istniejącego budynku mieszkalnego, wykonanego przy użyciu nowoczesnych materiałów i technologii, do standardu budynku pasywnego. W szczególności analizie poddana została kwestia modernizacji przegród budynku w celu uzyskania wymaganych parametrów przenikalności cieplnej. Główną ideą, jaka przyświecała tej analizie, była odpowiedź na pytanie, czy wykonanie termomodernizacji istniejącego budynku będzie efektywne pod względem energetycznym, ale przede wszystkim, czy będzie opłacalne dla inwestora.The aim of the article is to discuss the problem related to the profitability of adapting the existing residential building made using modern materials and technologies to passive building standards. In particular, the issue of modernization of building partitions in order to obtain the required thermal permeability parameters was analyzed. The main idea behind the analysis is the answer to the question: whether the thermo–modernization of the existing building will be effective in terms of energy, but above all whether it will be profitable for the investor
