Fungi of the genus Fusarium - occurrence, characteristics and significance in the environment

Abstract

W pracy opisano przynależność systematyczną i scharakteryzowano wybrane gatunki z rodzaju Fusarium. Omówiono budowę mikroskopową oraz strukturę grzybni, a także opisano tworzone zarodniki. Przedstawiono także zdolności do produkcji mykotoksyn. Określono rolę, jaką grzyby z rodzaju Fusarium pełnią w środowisku. Opisano również wybrane choroby wywoływane przez Fusarium spp. zarówno u roślin, jak i u ludzi i zwierząt. Przedstawiono także wybrane metody badawcze służące identyfikacji i ocenie bioróżnorodności grzybów z rodzaju Fusarium.The study described the systematic position and characterized selected species of the genus Fusarium. The microscopic structure of the mycelium and spores were outlined. The ability of the Fusarium fungi to produce mycotoxins and their role in the environment was also presented. Selected diseases caused by Fusarium spp. in plants, animals and in humans were described. The selected research methods for the identification and biodiversity evaluation of Fusarium spp. were also outlined
