Abstract

156 Lowland Black and White x charolaise heifer calves were exa mined; they were selected for further reproduction from a hers of fatstock kept in one of the State-owned farms in the Wieprz-Krzna Canal region. Out of 156 heifer calves destined for mating 122 animals were jnade pregnant with the semen of limousine or hereford bulls, that is 78,2%. The mating of heifer calves took place from August 1 to September 15 so that the future calving occurred at the beginning of the pasture season. Out od 115 parturition (7 animals miscarried) 7 were very hard (still-born calves), 22 (19,12%) hard, 15 (13%) light (with the help of 1 person), the remaining 71 animals (61,7%) delivered by themselves on the pasture.Исследованиями объяли 156 телок-гибридов нч-п х шароле, выселек- ционированных для дальнейшей репродукции из стада откармливаемых телок, содержащихся в одном из госхозов района Канала Вепш-Кшна. Из 156 телок, предназначенных для случки, было оплодотворено семенем быков породы лимузен или герефорд 122 голов, т.е. 78,2%. Случку телов проводили в период 1 августа - 15 сентября, так чтобы их позднейшие отелы приходились на начало пастбищного сезона. На 115 родов (7 телок абортировало) 7 было очень тяжелыми (законченными рождением мёртвых телят), 22 (19,1%) - тяжелыми, 15 (13,0%) лёгкими (при помощи 1 лица), в остальных же 71 случае (61,7%) телки отелились на пастбище без чьей-либо помощи
