Shear strength of sub-arable layer in brown soils of Szczecin Lowland

Abstract

Celem pracy była identyfikacja spójności i kąta tarcia wewnętrznego gleby w warstwie 25-60 cm. Badania prowadzono wiosną i jesienią, na próbkach o strukturze nienaruszonej. Rezultaty badań potwierdziły zależność badanych parametrów od wilgotności gleby. Wyniki pomiarów mogą być pomocne w procesie konstruowania maszyn rolniczych oraz rozwoju technik zmierzających do redukowania nadmiernego zagęszczania warstwy podornej gleb.The purpose of the work was to identify cohesion and internal friction angle of soil in the 25-60 cm layer. The tests were performed in spring and autumn, for samples with intact structure. Test results confirmed dependence of examined parameters on soil humidity. Measurement results may be helpful in farm machinery design process and development of techniques aimed to reduce excessive compaction of sub-arable layer in soils
