Abstract

W artykule zaprezentowano różne pojęcia systemu transportowego również w odniesieniu do przestrzeni miejskiej. Rozważania dotyczące systemu transportowego ujęte zostały w trzech grupach, pierwsza z nich dotyczyła określeń o uniwersalnym charakterze, druga pojęć związanych z koncepcją tzw. zintegrowanego systemu transportowego, a w trzeciej grupie przedstawiono pojęcia zgodne z ogólną teorią systemów. Następnie zaprezentowano podział transportu zarówno w ujęciu gałęziowych jak i rodzajowym, który jest pojęciowo bardzo często mylone właśnie z podziałem gałęziowym. Podział rodzajowy transportu przeprowadzono pod kątem różnych kryteriów. W ostatniej części prezentowanego materiału przedstawiono rozważania dotyczące metodologii badań miasta oraz scharakteryzowano Obszar Metropolitarny Warszawy.The article presents the different concepts of the transport system also in relation to the urban space.
