Investigation of soil gas composition - examples of application in petroleum exploration and environment protection

The paper presents examples that confirm possibility of using the soil gas method. Soil gas method might be applied to petroleum exploration, to checking of well tightness and underground gas storage, to checking of underground gas pipelines and to prediction of gas hazard in the near-surface zone caused by coal mine closure in the Wałbrzych Coal District
