Delimitation of landscape units for initial identification of landscape of Wrocław suburban zone

Abstract

Tematem podjętym w niniejszym artykule jest delimitacja jednostek krajobrazowych oraz wstępne określenie cech charakterystycznych poszczególnych krajobrazów na przykładzie strefy podmiejskiej Wrocławia. W ramach badań stworzono trzystopniową strukturę, w której wyodrębniono 4 typy krajobrazu, 9 podtypów krajobrazu oraz 36 jednostek krajobrazowych. Każda z jednostek krajobrazowych została scharakteryzowana pod kątem jej elementów swoistych. Wyniki badań stanowią wkład w tematykę zarządzania krajobrazem oraz przybliżają problematykę aplikacji tych rozwiązań w skali lokalnej.The theme undertaken in this article is the delimitation of landscape units and pre-determine of characteristics of the different landscapes on the example of the Wroclaw suburban zone. The study created three-level structure in which 4 types of landscape, 9 subtypes of landscape and 36 landscape units were distinguished. Each of the landscape unit has been characterized in terms of its specific components. The results are a contribution to the topic of landscape management and discuss the problem of application of these solutions on a local scale
