The objective of this article will be to understand the representation of the sober speech the evil done by the mass entertainment media through the interpretation made by the audience to whom this speech is intended. For this, a comparative analysis is carried out between the television series El Patrón del Mal and Narcos. The theoretical contribution comes from Critical Geopolitics and the concept of popular geopolitical discourse. The methodology is based on the analysis of the opinions of Internet Movie Database users. From this exercise, the relevance of subtexts and intertextuality to represent social phenomena was verified.El objetivo de este artículo será el de comprender la representación del discurso sobre el mal hecho por los medios masivos del entretenimiento mediante la interpretación realizada por la audiencia a la que va destinado este discurso. Para ello, se realiza un análisis comparado entre las series televisivas El Patrón del Mal y Narcos. El aporte teórico viene de la geopolítica crítica y del concepto de discurso geopolítico popular. La metodología parte del análisis de las opiniones de usuarios de la Internet Movie Database. De este ejercicio, se constata la pertinencia de los subtextos y la intertextualidad para representar fenómenos sociales.
