Clinical manifestations and complex reabilitation of patients with partial terminal edentitions and cranio mandibular dysfunction

Abstract

Summary. 20 patients (7m, 13w) with ages between 42 68, were examined and supported complex treatment, with terminal partial edentitions and cranio mandibular dysfunction(CMD), confirmed by the clinical instrumental and paraclinical examination. Clinical manifestations of CMD proved to be depending on the time passed from teeth loss, extension and topography of dental breaches, type of occlusion, the number og antagonists etc. A concept was developed about the complex staged treatment that includes the administration og analgetics and muscle relaxants when indicated, physioterapy, mandibulo cranian reposition and prosthetic tretment
