Muscle progenitor cell (MPC) activity is exercise responsive. Post resistance-exercise alterations in myogenic messenger RNAs (mRNAs) found by us and others may initiate these events. However, these mRNA data in the absence of microscopic MPC activity data have limited this interpretation.
