Revolutionary Monique Matute-Chavarria, New Mexico State University Carim Flow, University of Texas at El Paso  Feel my revolution Love my Blackness I matter He matters She matters We matter  Feel my revolution  Thru hazel-colored eyes Gil Scott Heron  Fully Televised Nostradamus Predicted events on repeat  Love in rainbow colors Blurs the narrative Desensitizes the occurrences Feel thru raw emotions Skewed truth radicalized  Brick thrown thru the storefront Fire tensions rose Black Life just a notion  Tasted from the right  Voices drowned in oceans Truth gives way to lies All Lives calms the motion From those who spew despise  Police commit the crimes Sight gives way to blind Tear gas fills the night Looters in plain sight     White faces run free at the mall All In the name of No Matter Constitution lies soiled and tattered Vote means nothing at all For us radicals Love has gone on sabbatical   Respect has taken a  Fall Black Lives Matter met with dramatical White fear has engulfed us all Faces fall at the thought of it all Government has no answers at all  Love has become what's radical Radical in thought  Not to be given freely  Not even to be bought Simple as a solution Simple as one thought  To love each other  Is radically lost In these times As injustices saturate the air Suffocating  “I can’t breathe”  Feel my revolution Love my Blackness I matter He matters She matters We matter  This is a revolution   1Matute-Chavarria and Flow: RevolutionaryPublished by SFA ScholarWorks, 2022
