Abstract

The intentions of the authors of the collection of jobbing prints and occasional publications in the Silesian Cabinet of the University Library in Wrocław The Silesian Cabinet, organised thanks to the efforts of Professor Antoni Knot and Zofia Gostomska, was the first branch of the University Library to open in Wrocław. Its creators came to the Lower Silesian capital in May 1945 to secure and develop research facilities for Polish scholars resettled there and for incoming students.
