Analisis Intensitas Kebisingan Terhadap Dampak Daya Pendengaran Pekerja Di Dipo Lokomotif Semarang Poncol, Jawa Tengah

Abstract

The railways are not only give a positive effect on society, but also the negative effect. The process of repair and maintenance on the railway will potentially effects noise. Environmental pollution that is caused by noise in the long term at the locomotive's depot needs to be managed so it doesn't interfere with the health of workers which affects hearing loss. This study was a field experiment research using cross-sectional. The study was a description method that research study intended to investigate the circumstances, conditions, or the other things that the results presented in the form of research reports. The results of the study in Semarang Poncol Locomotive Depot show that the noise contours are depend on the differences of noise measurements time at each point and the differences of checking process and Locomotives & KRD maintenance time. The noise intensity both in the day and night are 77.33 dBA where those value exceeds the quality standards according to Kep48 / MENLH / 11/1996. The noise causes the downgrade of workers hearing capacity by 27.28% in the left and right ears before and after using the earplug. Through the research of earplug users, it shows that there are some changes of hearing capability when using and not using earplugs. If the locomotive depot workers are wearing earplugs, it can reduces the noise by ± 10 dBA
