Pengaruh Good Corporate Governance Terhadap Nilai Perusahaan (Studi Pada Perusahaan Yang Terdaftar Di Jakarta Islamic Index Tahun 2010-2013)

Abstract

This study aims to determine effect of Good Corporate Governance practices on Corporate Values. Applying quantitative approach, this study uses secondary data gathered from ICMD, summaries of company performance, and financial reports downloaded from Indonesia Stock Exchannge website. The sample selection is done by purposive sampling method. Analysis of the data using the classical assumption test and multiple linear regression. Indicators of good corporate governance in this study are institutional ownership, board size of direction, proportion of independent commissioners and audit committee. Indicators of Corporate Values are the closing price and Tobin's Q. The population of this research is the company that registered in Jakarta Islamic Index 2010-2013. These results indicate that institutional ownership, board size of direction, and the proportion of independent commissioners had significantly effect to the corporate values that proxied by the closing price;the audit committee had no significant effect to the corporate values that proxied by the closing price; institutional ownership and board size of direction had no significant to the corporate values that proxied by Tobin's Q; the proportion of independent commissioners and audit committee had significantly effect to the corporate values that proxied by Tobin's Q
