A coruja-listrada Strix hylophila, é umaespécie restrita ao bioma Mata Atlântica econsiderada quase ameaçada de extinção pelaInternational Union for Conservation of Nature andNatural Resources - IUCN. Apresenta-se o primeiroregistro da espécie para o Parque Estadual CarlosBotelho, Estado de São Paulo, Sudeste do Brasil.Neste estado a espécie foi encontrada em apenasoutras dezesseis localidades.The Rusty-barred Owl Strix hylophila,is an Atlantic Forest species which is considerednear threatened by the International Union forConservation of Nature and Natural Resources - IUCN.This owl was recorded to the first time in theCarlos Botelho State Park, São Paulo, SoutheasternBrazil.
