Abstract

This study is focused on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation factor to teach in kabupaten Melawi. Which is the focuses on the factors intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of surviving teachers teaches in remote areas. The purpose of this study was to obtain information on the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of teachers teaching in remote areas persist at SD Negeri 08 Kayu Bunga kecamatan Belimbing Hulu, that consist of 6 people as the primary data. This study is qualitative, case study approach. While the data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study through the stages of data reduction, data display, data verification, and conclusion. The results of this study can be concluded, generally the main factor of the teacher to teach in remote areas are factors intrinsic motivation, they are a sense of responsibility towards children's education in the remote area, profession as noble, and teachers received an award from the local community. While extrinsic motivation factors are the cooperation of teachers, a composed environment and an evaluation of the principal
