Abstract
The occurence of gall mite, Eryophyes gastroticus Nalepa on sweet potato. Gall mites E. gastroticus is a pest of sweet potato in dry season. The symptoms of the attack is characterized by gall formation on leaf, petiole and stem, with a narrow hole at the top of the gall. Estimated yield loss caused by the gall mites attacks is 11%. On the other hand, the gall mite attacks effect on stem cuttings. The use of gall-free cuttings, sanitation, and planting time; mechanical control; and chemical or botanical pesticides, either in combination or a singgle control are suggested
