Abstract

This study was motivated by the ability to write, especially poetry writing is still very minimal. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative forms. Results of the data analysis: 1) The ability to use the diction cycle I average memggunakan diction capabilities in research that is worth 17 while in cycle II has an enhancer to 20. 2) The ability to use the imagery in poetry writing cycle I average ability to use the diction in research that is value is 17 while in cycle II has an enhancer to 20. 3) The ability to use concrete words first cycle average ability to use diction in research that is worth 17 while in cycle II has an enhancer to 20. 4) The ability to use figurative language first cycle average the ability to use diction in research that is worth 21 while in cycle II has an enhancer to 24. 5) The results of learning to write poetry learning outcomes on average cycle I, 76.39% with the good category and cycle II 86.39% with a very good category
