Abstract

Garbage is basically a wasted or discarded material from a source of human activity and the result of natural processes that have no economic value, even have a negative value because of poor handling can cause environmental pollution and disease vectors. District Jati is one of districts included in the area of waste management services in the Kudus. In general, waste management in the District Jati has not gone well, this can be seen at the level of waste management services are only 42,84%. Based on the analysis of solid waste generation volume per capita is 2,63 l/person/day and the compositionsolid waste based from waste volume are 54,13 % organic and 45,90 % an-organic. Management planning of solid waste in District Jati consists of operational sub system is additional infrastructure and waste management activities with 3R. Regulations sub system is making and enforcement of municipal solid waste regulations, institutional sub system is optimize a function of UPTD as solid waste operator service, Financing sub system is source of municipal solid waste financing from APBD and retribution. Public participation sub system is public empowerment in solid waste utilization activity and keeps the regulations about solid waste management. With applying 3R expected can increase public participation with solid waste utilization activity and reduce waste generation
