Aktivitas Antioksidan Dari Ekstrak Daun Kayu Bulan (Pisonia Alba)

Abstract

Kayu bulan (Pisonia alba Span.) is a plant native to Indonesian, generally this plant is only used as an ornamental plant are unwittingly have a high enough potential in curing various diseases. The potential can be partially attributed to the antioxidant activity of existing plants. The purpose of this study was to test the antioxidant activity of the leaf extract of kayu bulan (Pisonia alba Span.). The method of extraction in this study using maceration with ethanol 40, 60 and 80%. The extract obtained is determined phenolic content and antioxidant activity assay with DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl). Based on the results obtained in leaf of kayu bulan has a total phenolic content of 12.45, 16.22, 28.67 (mg / kg) to extract 40, 60 and 80 %, respectively.
