The report tells a case of a previously higid patient who presented with a enterococcal pneumonia. Due to the rarity of the case, it is pertinent the discussion of the importance to investigate with a broad way another agent, with the intent to avoid serious evolutions, instituting the proper treatment as soon as possible.O relato conta o caso de um paciente previamente hígido que se apresentou com uma pneumonia por enterecoccus. Devido a raridade do caso, é pertinente a discussão da importância de se investigar de maneira ampla outros agentes, com intuito de evitar evoluções graves, instituindo o tratamento adequado o quanto antes.
