Feminist values of the major female character in the film of joy

Abstract

This research analyze the female major character, Joy, in the film Joyin the perspective of feminism. By using descriptive method, this reasearch focus on dialog as primary data in order to find how she is described and how she is dealing with problems in accordance with feminist film critics. The writer finds that Joy is described as an independent womanwho takes responsibility to her family members, neighbourhood, and people around her.
