IDENTIFIKASI RENTANG WAKTU PENGISIAN TERHADAP STATE OF HEALTH BATERAI VALVE-REGULATED LEAD ACID (VRLA)

Abstract

State of Health baterai adalah suatu ukuran kemampuan sebuah baterai untuk menyimpan dan menyalurkan energi listrik. Nilai Estimasi State of Health pada sebuah baterai adalah suatu parameter penting dalam pemakaian baterai karena layak atau tidaknya baterai untuk tetap digunakan mengacu pada nilai estimasi tersebut. Berhubungan dengan semakin majunya perkembangan baterai Lead-acid hingga bertambahnya penggunaan baterai Valve-Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) dalam sistem kelistrikan, maka pada penelitian ini akan dibahas keterkaitan antara State of Health baterai dengan rentang waktu pengisian, rancang bangun sebuah alat yang mampu menghitung nilai State of Health sebuah baterai VRLA dan menyimpan parameter tegangan, arus dan waktu selama proses pengisian. Data tersebu diolah di personal computer serta diidentifikasi keterkaitan antara rentang waktu pengisian dengan nilai State of Health suatu baterai. Metode yang dijadikan referensi nilai State of Health adalah metode perbandingan antara kapasitas akhir pengisian dan kapasitas nominal baterai tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan alat ini mampu membaca arus perubahan hingga 5A dengan error pembacaan 2.828% serta sensor tegangan yang mampu membaca tegangan hingga 25 V dengan error pembacaan sebesar 0.257%. Hasil identifikasi menunjukkan metode perbandingan waktu pengisian memiliki rentang error mulai dari  1.593% hingga 39.941%. The Value of the State of Health on a battery is an important parameter in the use of the battery because the feasibleof  the battery to be used is based on the estimated value. Due to the increasing development of Lead-acid batteries to the increasing usage of Valve-Regulated Lead Acid (VRLA) batteries in electrical systems, this study will discuss the relationship between State of Health of the battery with the charging time range, design of a tool that can calculate the value State of Health a VRLA battery and store voltage, current and time parameters during charging process. The data is processed in personal computer and then identified the relationship between the charging time range with the value of the State of Health of a battery. The method which is used as a reference value State of Health is a method of comparison between the final charging capacity and the nominal capacity of the battery. The results of this study show that this tool is able to read the current changes up to 5A with error reading of 2828% and voltage sensors capable of reading voltages up to 25 V with error readings of 0.257%. The results of this identification shows that the method of comparison of charging time has an error ranging from 1.593% to 39.941%.
