This paper studies Vicente Huidobro's dramaturgy through comparative analysis. The theatre plays 'Gilles de Raiz' (1932) and 'En La Luna' (1934) are examined in light of the author's poetics. The design of a theoretical device tailored to the demands of the object of enquiry has been a central goal; it combines the Creationist category of 'system' with Luigi Pirandello's notions of 'historical' and 'philosophical'. The convenient dimension of the sample allows a painstaking approach, which helps to contrast the ways of tackling reality in each case
