Consisting of Richard Rulli (trumpet), Tlaloc Perales (trumpet), Katey J. Halbert (horn), Cory Mixdorf (trombone), and Benjamin Pierce (tuba), the group was formed in the fall of 2003 to serve as a performing outlet for the faculty and as a model for student groups. Arkansas Brassworks performs each semester in the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall at the University of Arkansas Fine Arts Center. Additionally, the quintet performs concerts and master classes throughout the region. Tours are undertaken annually.
