Abstract
Uloga novinstva u suvremenoj hrvatskoj povijesti vrlo je važna historiografska tema. S istraživačkog aspekta riječ je o relevantnom izvoru koji u nekim situacijama, poput nedostatka ostalih vrsta izvora, može biti temeljno informacijsko vrelo. Takav je slučaj čest u istraživanju djelovanja političkih stranaka jer u hrvatskim arhivima ne postoje stranački fondovi. Zbog toga su stranački listovi neobično važni kao uvid u strukture i sustave pojedinih hrvatskih stranaka. Osim toga, povijest hrvatskog novinstva pokazuje da je najveći dio novina (dnevnika ili tjednika) bio stranačke orijentacije što dovoljno govori o obilježju informiranja javnosti. U ovome radu autor se bavi novinstvom Čiste stranke prava/frankovaca.On the example of the ČSP the author emphasizes the importance of journalism for describing the activities and organizations of political parties at the brink of the 20th century. The role of journalism in the modem Croatian history is an important historiographic topic. For the researcher this is a relevant source, which in some situations, such as the lack of other types of sources, can be the fundamental source of information. Such a case is frequent in the research of activities of political parties since there are no political party records in the Croatian archives. That is why the political newspapers are extremely important for researching of the structure and system of particular Croatian parties. Besides that, the history of Croatian journalism shows that an important part of the newspapers (daily or weekly) were politically oriented what depicts the character of informing the public
