This master thesis originates in a seemingly paradoxical goal in concentrating on inclusion and contexts while preserving an individual focus when assets are given to special education. This paradox emerges as a central issue and challenge in working with assessment processes for children, and it indicates that there are conditions in the organizing of practice which shows as contradictory conditions. With critical psychology as methodical and theoretical framework for the master thesis, the focus is on educational psychologists as professional participants and their first-person-perspectives. The following research questions is examined: How do political goals about inclusion change the working conditions for educational psychologists? What does the changed working conditions mean for the cooperation on assessment processes for children? The master thesis uses a historical and social scientifical look at the conditions, and analyzes psychological practice in assessment processes in order to create knowledge about the possibilities, limitations, and contradictions experienced by educational psychologists in conflictual cooperation.This master thesis originates in a seemingly paradoxical goal in concentrating on inclusion and contexts while preserving an individual focus when assets are given to special education.
