Abstract
Bitches that have not been neutered from an early age have a higher predisposition of presenting neoplasias on the genital zone and different parts of the reproductive system, along with multiple pathologies of reproductive nature.
Most of these tumors have a hormonal basis and can appear in different anatomic areas that go from the ovaries to the external reproductive organs. Leiomyosarcoma is the most common malignant extraluminal tumor. However, there are other neoplasias that could appear in this area which is why the use of cytology and histopathology is fundamental surgical plan for the patient in question.
Leiomyosarcomas are tumors that have their origin in the smooth muscle tissie and can be present in the digestive tract, genital apparatus, and skin.
