EPILEPSIE POST-TRAUMATIQUE PRECOCE DANS L'ENFANCE. SIGNIFICATION ET PRONOSTIC A COURT TERME

Abstract

In the last 5 yr, 244 children with head traumas were observed. Early post-traumatic epilepsy was present in 11% of the patients. This complication was more frequent in children less than 6 yr of age or presenting a previous neurological history. Early posttraumatic epilepsy was rarely associated with brain concussion and frequently with cerebral contusion.
